About Me:
I grew up outside of Northeast Philadelphia until I went to college in Virginia at Liberty University. In college I majored in Music and Worship Studies: Intercultural Studies and went on to receive my M.A. in Global Studies. While in school I was a part of Student Leadership and worked for the school's Center for Multicultural Enrichment where I mentored Freshmen and Sophomores. As a graduate student I continued to work for the Center for Multicultural Enrichment and worked as a nanny for a family with 5 foster children which is how I developed a passion for helping children, especially those with learning differences.
I moved to Nashville with my husband in order to finish my degree with an internship with World Relief. During this time I worked with refugee high school student in a summer camp and helped resettle families who had just come to America. After my internship I started substitute teaching, mostly at Brick Church, when I was then hired as a full employee. I love teaching and helping our students understand the world around them!
